Did you hear me singing in the shower, Leo? Because it's just dawned on me that I'm a rather terrific singer and if only mother and father had noticed this earlier, perhaps I would be famous by now! No paperwork, no waking up at wee hours of the morning, filing things away, attending meetings and court dates during weekends and birthdays.

All this in and out of Azkaban deal is just so exhausting. I mean, shouldn't we be more careful with who we put away in the first place? There's twice as much paperwork that needs to be done now.

And honestly, if Demetrius really is innocent and was just Imperiused like everyone else apparently, I will be very cross because he dressed impeccably well and was rather kind to me.

I think I'm glad that I don't really know anyone close to me that has been affected. It's awful that other families are, and I wish I could do something to help, but even Lettie is so exhausted.. And if Lettie can't fix something, well, it must be pretty much incurable. I'm so glad I wasn't in Tinsworth and will make a personal note to never go there since bad things keep happening. I mean, wouldn't the residents know that by now? Or employ stronger forces there or something, I don't know, I'm not the DMLE and thus not paid to think about this kind of stuff, but they are!

So far, I've only heard about how awful the victims are looking. I think it may be charitable to go visit some of the affected but I don't want to get infected myself in which case Tapioca would be affected and then Leo would be affected and then we could all die which I will not have. And even if not, I will probably need to take a shower for at least two hours and sixteen minutes in order to get any possible bits of the infection off and that is a waste of water. I wonder what else I could do.

I had though Fabian* was rather nice, until he married the McKinnon. What if she had cast some kind of spell on him and he wasn't acting like himself or something and his murder was in vain? If anything, it should've been the girl. Not that I condone murder or anything, but you know, if there was a choice.

We only got our ID cards this Wednesday and I've been very good about bringing it then and yesterday and I even said my hellos to the wonderful security team and they clearly know me because I always greet them but the Minister is just so cruel!! My ears hurt because the Minister nearly screamed into them when he was yelling at me and it echoed into the entire Atrium and I've just never been so humiliated in all of my life!

I know that we are in some dark times, and it only adds to that awfulness when the new spring fashion colour is apparently orange. BUT! I would just like to ask all of you to please keep my cat Pudding in your thoughts. He is the most wonderful of all wonderful cats and he is very ill. Unfortunately, I haven't a clue what is wrong but he is lethargic and sleeps a lot and isn't going outside as much as he used to and has a slightly swollen belly. I was wondering if I ought to be calling a few days off a work to be with him. I'm quite worried!

Hi Lettie and Charley! I hope you're both doing quite well, I haven't visited you two as much as I have before, and for that I apologise. Work has been pretty time consuming as of late. Anyway, I think Leonidas is planning a surprise party for me! He has purchased a rug (or questionable colour taste but it might go well with a burnt orange colour scheme!) and my cake and cupcake cookbook was moved slightly to the side! He must have looked through it and tried to put it back as if I wouldn't notice! But I did, of course!

And don't tell Leo! I will act surprised so I don't hurt his feelings!

If you are looking for your secretary, she is currently buried somewhere underneath many many owls of complaint. While mail is usually dropped off around lunch time, it make take some extra time so I apologise in advanced for the delay.

I feel like this week at work has just been a terrible nightmare. I think our Minister may just as well go into our history books as one of the meanest and rudest Ministers ever. But I still have tiniest of faith in him and hope that he turns around and makes a quick recovery!

I hate to play gossip queen but I've been trying to keep this to myself for over a day and it continues to bother me greatly. I've heard awful things about Minister Flint and I am even more outraged that the gossip has to do with our circle of ladies. I've overheard from several different, and seemingly reliable, people that our Minister has a madame in his office when he stays overnight. And while that alone may be scandalous enough, it is rumoured that the lady in question is actually a married Pureblood woman!

I've, of course, quickly shot down all allegations to slander any of our wonderful women in Society! But I've been told that Minister Flint is keeping his affair a secret so that her name wouldn't be shamed. I just wanted to keep all of you in the know. If I've overheard such gossip, I'm sure others have too and us ladies should always be prepared for those who are quick to accuse but don't know better. They say all rumours have an origin but this is just absurd! I genuinely hope our Minister isn't having any sort of affair, and that gossip continues to just stay idle gossip and doesn't escalate to anything more than just that.

Oh my gosh, my sympathies to the family and friends of whomever was killed or injured from the explosions. I hope the culprits are caught or the reason for the explosion is quickly found out. If there is some criminal on the loose who enjoys destroying property and human lives, (s)he/they ought to be caught immediately!

I just don't get it! Curfew had originally been implemented to keep us off the streets of being hurt or attacked and now homes, the very place that should be the definition of safe, are being destroyed. I thought I should be relieved to hear that the dementors had been caught but I'm back to worrying again.

Leo. Did you know that the Wizengamot is currently discussing whether Aurors can use Unforgivables for apprehending criminals? It's all rather frightening. I hope they don't extend this use to Hitwizards. I can't imagine you having to use such curses, or for you to even be in such a circumstance to have to.

Also, if Pudding comes to you and wants to be pet, please pet him. I haven't been home enough to give him attention. You don't even have to tell me that you did pet him or that you actually enjoy showing affection to an animal, I won't tell anyone.

Also also, don't tell anyone about the Unforgivables bit. Classified and all.

There should be some sort of Patronus casting class or at the very least a pamphlet with tips on how to properly cast one to protect our citizens. I, for one, have no idea how to cast one but am eager to learn, only I don't even know where to start!
